Frederiksoord

When nurture leaves, nature takes over.

In the small village of Frederiksoord there used to be a horticultural school. But now it is abandoned and all the nurture is fading away when nature takes over. Although this is no consious act of nature as an entity. Thinking that way would be a form of anthropomorphism. Personally, I like to think of nature as a complicated and balanced system in which there are no entities at all for all is connected.

Some of the images are collages, some are printed on gold coloured foil and rephotographed, some are photographed with a full spectrum camera (i.e. the hot mirror removed). More on this in the series Full-Spectrum.
